    Hi from Singapore

Chanced upon your blog... Great ministry work you are doing here.

Keep up the good work in the Lord! =)
  • Denise · 1 year ago
Your blog is an encouragement. I'm a Singaporean studying in the Uk, getting a bit worried cos I'm hearing a lot of stuff here that hasn't been in sync with what I've been learning back home... good to know that there are ppl contending for the gospel!
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    Shalom, Denise:

Thank you for dropping by my blog and for the encouragement! I pray that you will continue to be strong in a wave of adversity that shall face Christians at this time and in time to come, because the end is near! :)

    God bless!

I see a spanking new blog here, congrats. Looking forward to more wisdom through all your writings. Your words put me to a lot of thinkings sometimes.
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
Thank you for the kind words and the encouragement, Ed! The wisdom is not mine, but God's, and I only pray that I am a worthy bearer of His Truth.

    Hi Isaiah,

I noticed you mentioned Atomic Leow over at Daniel's blog. He was my teacher when I was at Singapore Polytechnic.

Did you know him well? I have fond memories of him - preaching/evangelising to the class and getting into trouble for that. But it is amazing that some of my classmates still remember him for that!
  • Vincent Chia · 1 year ago
    Hi Jenson,

Nice to meet you here :-c
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    hi Jenson,

    Thanks for dropping by.

I can't say I know Atomic Leow well. He taught biology at SAJC when I was there in the late 80's, and was also the discipline master.

My only brush with him was being lectured by him for an hour or so, LOL! He caught me and a mate for simply signaling to each other in the library. Unfortunately, I got a worse scolding than my mate because I was in the student council.

To be honest, I don't remember much of that lecture, except that he left a lot of spit on my uniform (he tends to dispense a lot of that when he speaks in agitated tones).
  • Jenson · 1 year ago
    Hi Isaiah,

Thanks for that piece of information.

Atomic Leow is known by some in the Creation/Evolution debate - supporting Creation. He has a chapter (I think it is his testimony) in a book published by the ICR people. His strange first name helps...

And yes, I do remember his "spitting" problem.

He once told a classmate of mine in the Staff Office that she was going to Hell unless she trusted in the Lord! She was shocked, but then, it was much needed. She still remembers this incident even till today (>10 years ago) - so do I!

His small textbook on hydrophonics is still the gold standard worldwide.

I wished I had known him better when I was at SP.

    Hi Vincent,

You know my reasons for disappearing... But it nice to meet you here. I will email you soon.
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
You're welcome, Jenson, and thank you for the information too.

Good to know that the man is contending strongly for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! I am not aware of his testimony or that he is known in the debate, but it'd be interesting to read it!
  • Jenson · 1 year ago
    This is Atomic Leow's testimony.

    Thanks, Jenson!

Yes, that's him alright, and to be featured on Answers In Genesis, that's quite a feat!

It's just dawned on me - I haven't done the polite thing and say hello, before I start commenting. So here goes -

Hello, Bro. Isaiah! Cool blog you have going on here. I'll be sure to add it to my blogroll.

    Grace and peace,

    Douglas K. Adu-Boahen
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
Ha ha, you're too kind, Douglas!

Hello back, my good brother! I actually know who you are, since I have been a lurker at your blog (oops, I'm busted!) and I see you often at Phil's (Theology Today) and Alan's (Real Christianity), heh!

    WELCOME! }:D{

It's my honor to be added to your blogroll. I'm adding you too, if you don't mind.
  • Douglas K. Adu-Boahen · 1 year ago
I needs be more careful how I terrorise the Web =)) Thanks for the add...it would be an honour to be on the blogroll.
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
Oh, don't you worry about it, I'm such a "terrorist" too, and been busted many times over. =))

    Just me again.

Isaiah I have already commented on your testimony(that was really important for me to do) but what I want to say here is also for all those commenting here as well. I read these comments yesterday and it just gave me such a warm feeling in my spirit of God's love through Jesus Christ. Here I am sitting thousands of miles away in South Africa and I just felt so connected to all of you it is just such an incredible feeling. Isn't God so good and so great. I have just started blogging around so I hope to visit all of you who have blogs to see if I can uplift and encourage you in any way. Oh by the way one my gifts is encouragement, so I intend to use it for God's glory.
LoCTY(=Love of Christ To You) :)

    @Raymond White -

Brother, your gift of encouragement is very much needed in this day and age when we are so put down by so much unbelief and confusion amongst Christians. Keep exercising this great gift that God has given you, brother!

I've put your blog in my reader and will be visiting often. It's a great read and I'll be back for more!

    God bless, and Shalom!

    @Stephen Archer -

Welcome, Stephen, and thank you for the kind words of encouragement! I haven't heard of Arnold Fruchtenbaum before, but I have now come to know about his ministry -- Ariel Ministries. Will be checking out his ministry site over the weekend.

Thank you for the kind comments. I got your message at 12:40 AM my time because I am praying and feeling like Jeremiah (weeping for the "Christians" that are leaving their true God, for man-made idols). I needed to be reminded that "Yes, there are others out there." Thank you. I look forward to reading your site and I'll be back.

Now that my soul has been refreshed by the Lord and an obedient brother I'll leave the world in the Lord's hands and refresh my body.
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    @Berean Wife -

    Thank you for visiting, sis.

Truth be told, I haven't logged in to BlogCatalog for the longest time so I didn't know why I logged in today and chose to check out some new blogs, "chancing" on yours in the process.

I'm glad that you're refreshed both in the spirit and, hopefully by now, in the body.

    God bless, and Shalom!

Hi Isaiah, I'm so happy with your blog. I'm a Singaporean based in London. I used to attend both CHC and NCC, praise God He opened my eyes and now I'm out of charismatic movement, attending C.Spurgeon's Church in London. I listen a lot to Way of the Master and have been evangelising ever since, and I have so much passion for members in CHC cos CHC doesn't give the correct way to be saved. Ask any CHC member and they'll tell u they are unsure themselves where they go after they die. Anyway, if u do evangelism in Singapore, I really wanna get in touch with like-minded biblical Christians who are passionate about the lost. I'll be returning home to Singapore for holiday in dec 08, so pls do get in touch, cheers!

Hi Denise, u in the uK? me too! I'm based in London, watabout u? would really love to get in touch with Singaporean Christians too, cheers!
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    Dear Maria,

My apologies for not replying earlier. I have been busy setting up a site that, if you read my latest post calling for Contributors, you'll find out why. :)

Thank you for dropping by my blog and for your kind words!

Soli deo Gloria! Thank God that He led you out of those churches, sister. Looks like we do like the same things, heh!

That's my concern for those who attend CHC -- I have a cousin who does and my wife has been giving tuition to another. Both of them are quite like what you described.

Keep in touch, sis. It's been my pleasure making your acquaintance. Perhaps we can chat more when you're back.

    God bless!

:-h Hello there! I saw this blog through Facebook, Facebook's been a gem to me the past weeks for bringing blogs like this to my computer screen.

My husband and I are also Bible-believing Christians and we both blog for the Truth. We hope you can visit us sometime soon! Will be linking you to our blog, by the way.
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    @ Zhey Chua:

    Shalom, Zhey.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I'm honored to be added to your blogroll. I've visited your blog and it sure looks like I'll be exploring it more! Great writing and good topics.

By the way, we share the same last name. :)

    God bless!
  • Zhey Chua · 1 year ago
Yup, we do. But I became a Chua only when I married Warren, so Warren is really your last namesake. If you live in the Philippines and are a Filipino, I'd say "then we're related!", but because you don't, then I guess I can't say that... But wait... We ARE related! In Christ. :)

    God bless you, too, brother!
  • Doughfish · 1 year ago
you really dislike CHC dont you? (No, I'm not affliated to that organisation but since I don't really know much about that place, apart from a few visits I can't comment, I only saw some of your postings, and your mentioning of prosperity gospel, which didn't sound too positive either.)

I do applaud in your mission to enlightened people when it comes to bible though, for in all honesty, the majority bunch of us probably ain't all that aquainted with the bible to differentiate right from wrong perhaps.

    Peace be with you. :)
  • Isaiah Chua · 1 year ago
    @ Doughfish:

I don't dislike CHC. I am just not one to stand idly by while many young people are taught the heretical doctrines that CHC espouses.
