I am not anti-Roman Catholic per se, as in I have nothing against Roman Catholics as people; my beef is with the Roman Catholic Church.

As to whether a Protestant needs to continually thrash and be critical to prove one's right, no. However, if you see someone about to be tricked by a conman, would you not step forward to warn the potential victim?

Moreover, this concerns the eternal fates of many! Not only do I have many friends who are Roman Catholics but my in-laws are practising Roman Catholics too so I hope that addresses your concerns.

Sure, all religions to varying degrees promote peace but only one promises eternal life through Christ Jesus by faith alone, and grace alone. Not of works, lest any man boast.

with no offence, but that line is pretty much the typical anti-catholic argument, without the understanding of a practising Catholic, but that via personal (that can be plural, a huge plural actually) speculation.

Since when did any religion sprung from claiming to be "Less Authentic" than the other?

Does a Protestant need to continually thrash and getting critical over Catholics to proof that he is right in his faith?

Or Muslim against Taoism....etc. the list goes on. Isn't it obvious the jeering at another religion(s) provokes disharmony?

With an exception to a few cults perhaps, most religions (I reckon) promotes peace yea?

So again, what is your problem? You didn't have a problem with DHOPE's comment, especially his "get RID of your POST NOW!" part. SO who is shutting up WHO?

And please re-read my analysis of what DHOPE had written.

It was DHOPE who insisted that “What is coal to one man might be gold to another.”

So, by logical extrapolation of DHOPE's statement, I wrote:

"So my “gold” is to “denounce” other religions; unfortunately, that’s your coal. So why don’t you keep your comment to yourself? I have my gold, and you keep your coal?" geddit? 8-|

Have you heard of a reductio ad absurdum?

I know; some would prefer internally inconsistent, self-contradictory opinions, as long as the comment suit their ears.

I avoid saying what others want to hear; I believe that's not our "job." @-)

The Catholic church seems to have done a pretty good job of marketing itself as the true and original church to unbelievers.

More importantly, please note that the genealogy of Christ (Matthew 1) includes many sinners:
1. Abraham, who lied about his relationship with wife Sarah and gave her up to adultery to save his life.
2. Jacob, who cheated his brother Esau of his heritage and deceived his father Isaac into giving him the first son's blessings.
3. Tamar, who “pretended” to be a prostitute and bore a child by her father-in-law Judah through sin and incest.
4. Rahab, a prostitute, who became mother of Boaz.
5. David, the king who has God's favor, who committed adultery with the wife of one of his loyal subjects and shortly after, murdered this poor man in spite of his loyalty to David.
6. Bathsheba, an adulteress who became mother of one of the greatest and wisest king in history.
7. A lineage of faithful kings of character, all of whom struggled with sin, unfaithfulness to God and country, and were not perfect, as well as those who were as bad as can be—even unspeakably evil.

Bottomline: We are all sinners. And God can do wonders through any one of us, even though we are sinners. "...all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

I think it is polite to respect other people's religions and not aggressively denounce it's value. What is coal to one man might be gold to another.

And it is also unfair to do line quote rebuttals as the context of the entire passage will be lost. Finally, I would like to advise, based on Jesus' teachings, that "Let he who is without sin be the first to judge".
